On Soft Culture, Pariah Peels explores the multifaceted world of electronic music and idm. Swirling soundscapes of peaceful ambient textures foil with musique concrete and industrial noise. These free-flowing threads butt up with big techno house beats that drive cosmic spaced out consciousness of rhythm. This release was recorded live with no overdubs using a beautiful hybrid display of electronic hardware reinforced with soft synth and midi controller work.

With heavy inspiration from Frippertronics, The New American Left explores how looping has a substantial structural impact on solo performance. By combining electronic sources with artistic interpretation of American Primitive guitar work, this piece explores pastoral landscapes shaded by dystopian textures paced by Pariah Peels' own free meter. The looper instrument (devised in Ableton Suite) was created with Jordan Munson, Senior Lecturer of Music and Arts Technology at IUPUI. This piece was originally performed live over Zoom at the height of the telematic Covid years.
